Europe: It’s time to decide and act on what Future we want

For decades, we’ve been told the future is made elsewhere—in Silicon Valley or Wall Street—while Europe just sits back and watches. But recent global shakeups have forced us to face a hard truth: the future doesn’t just happen to us. We choose it every single day. We are standing at the cliff-edge of the Intelligence Revolution. AI, biotech, and quantum computing are moving at a staggering pace. This wave could bring unprecedented prosperity, or total chaos (HellVen).

The technology itself won’t decide our fate; our leadership and our choices will. The real question is no longer what technology can do—by 2030, it will do almost everything. The question is: what should it do?

  • Do we want a world optimized solely for machines, profit & growth and endless consumption?

  • Or do we want a world centered on human dignity, well-being and freedom?

This is Europe’s greatest test since World War II. In a world dominated by tech empires and geopolitical posturing, we can no longer afford to just ‘come along’. Our unique strength isn’t about trying to be the biggest, fastest, or richest. It’s our deeply rooted commitment to humanity. Let’s stop following and start leading – and it all must start with prioritizing INNOVATION and our power to shape a distinctly human-centered vision—The Good Future.
