"Twice Upon a Time: Two 2030 Scenarios" is a provocative film I made in 2022 (and remixed in 2023 as well as re-issued on Gerd.tv in 2026). It explores two alternate visions of the future—one dark and dystopian, and one regenerative and prosperous—prompting viewers to choose which path humanity will take. The film contrasts two distinct versions of the year 2030, diving deep into the impacts of exponential technological change, the climate crisis, and global policy.
    • The Lousy Future: A dystopian world grappling with derailed technocracy, threats to democracy, techno-tyranny, and accelerating climate disasters.
    • The Good Future: A paradigm shift where technology serves people, purpose, and the planet. It showcases sustainable economies, global cooperation on energy and food, ethical AI regulation, and a revival of distinctly human work.

I have released multiple versions of the project to cater to different audience requests:
    • Original Feature: The full provocatively divided film is available to watch on my YouTube Channel.
    • "Only the Good 2030": I also released an edited version focusing solely on the positive, inspiring scenario of the Good 2030: Youtube

The future is not what it used to be, but I believe we must learn how to “remember the future”—to travel forward 7 to 10 years, and then return with what we’ve learned in order to make better decisions today,
In my film Twice Upon a Time, I take us forward to the year 2030 to look at two very different paths: the dark, lousy future and the more heavenly, good future.
Why do I do this? Because as the late Barbara Hubbard said, “as we see the future, so we act, and as we act, so we become”
We are to be the architects of our future, not its victims!
